Bi-Rite suddenly has Marin Sun Farms beef, making this the first regular retail outlet for locally pastured, beyond-organic beef (outside the farmer's markets). I bought and ate a hangar steak yesterday. great stuff.

Where is Bi-Rite? The best burger I have ever eaten was a Sun Farms one.

they're on 18th Street between Dolores and Guerrero, in that corridor with Delfina, Delfina Pizza, and Tartine (foodie paradise). it's a truly excellent market. expensive, but no moreso than Whole Foods (less on many items), and with far superior produce.

What was the price like for the hangar steak?

        I think it was $15.99/lb.

Marin Sun's Web site says Rainbow also has their products.

          Robert...

Rainbow probably has the eggs only as they don't carry meat...
