Mesa Pizza in MPLS
Yesterday I was on a bike ride and came upon a pizza place in Dinkytown on their first day.
It's called Mesa and the pie was pretty good. It was served by the slice and included a lot of selections you don't see often. I had the tomato pesto - tomatoes and basil pesto - the server gave us a freebee of their mac and cheese pizza (elobow macaroni&cheddar).
Both were good, but the mac&cheese benefitted from a little doctoring from the squeeze bottles of BBQ and tobascoesque sauces. The mac&cheese wasn't the only noodly pizza either. There was also a pesto&penne on offer.
There were som Mexican-influenced choices available as well (thus, Mesa?) like spicy chicken stuffed, and a pie with avocado, tomato, onions, peppers, etc. There was one with black beans, etc. too.
A Philly cheesesteak version was offered as well - steak, peppers, onions, cheddar from the looks of things.
The crust was a good interpretation of the thin style and our two slices and a soda came to $7; so I'm guessing $3 a slice. I was happy to pay that price after a long ride.
Has anyone else hit this lace so far?
