Hmm, I love this board already. Falafel failure ...

My poor Swedish friends have tried to make falafel at least 3 times to complete and abject failure. We even had a deep fryer at one point. The falafel just seems to melt apart. What can we do?

I haven't made falafel in years, so I'm not the one to ask really

    1. It's possible your falafel are too wet... but that's just off the top of my head.

I usually use the box mix kind, and go light on the water and oil so they won't fall apart.

If they're falling apart in the deep fryer, definitely sounds like the mixture is too wet!

      1. The first time I made felafel I put them in the deep fryer and they dissolved. Now I do them in olive oil in a skillet, very hot, flip them around til done, and they come out perfect. If they hold together when you make them, they should cook fine.
