Who is Maverick's publicist? Whoever it is is not getting paid enough. How did it best Range? Hell, how did it best Yamo?

I've only been to Maverick for one lunch, but it was quite a fab lunch.

Note that this is the "readers picks" feature, so yes, run of the mill. What else could you expect?

Kind of make you glad there's a chowhound, eh?

Although very funny quote about the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market "it’s gotten more play than “I Will Survive” at a karaoke bar."

I see Robert Lauriston got his friends to stuff the ballot box and make Zachary's pizza number one.

So, does the magazine have picks from the staff? Anything new and interesting? Based on the freebie of reader's picks it's not likely I'd buy the magazine.

Reader polls are always a mixed bag. Just look at Zagat. But in general the magazine has very well-written restaurant reviews.

SF Mag recently lost their top restaurant critics.

I was pretty unimpressed that they ranked Ici as best ice cream sandwich when the darn place still isn't open. Shows a complete lack of editorial standards IMO.
