Carry-out crabs in So. MD?

mill07 Aug 18, 2006 10:56 PM

Just moved down to Waldorf, and am seeking a carry-out crab place in Charles County, or within a reasonable driving distance. Any suggestions? I've been to Captain Billy's so far, but I'm looking more for a take-home joint. Live crabs or steamed, building or road-side, it doesn't matter!

Thanks for your help!

If you're still looking for the "perfect" crab place in Charles County. It's "Capt. Joe's Seafood Place on Smallwood Dr W. Their crabs are take-out only. Crabs are meaty, heavy, well seasoned, and the price doesn't change during the major holidays like Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day. All orders are cooked fresh (25 min) so call ahead of time. They receive their crab truck around 2 pm daily. All large males are "sold out" within 2 hrs of their arrival so put your order in early. It's worth it! The staff is very friendly as well. Don't waste your time at Capt. Moe's in White Plains. They mixed small, medium in large orders and taste mediocre at best. Trust me. I've been eating crabs since I was a little kid. I'm 61 yrs old now and know something about quality and price. You will thank me a thousand times over for this tip. ENJOY!!!!
