Update on sushi in Memphis?

Its been about a year since there were any posts about sushi in Memphis and I know there have been some openings and closings. What's the latest recommendation?

  1. Well, I like EDO, on Summer avenue, real family atmosphere and great value, and A-Tan, behind the Perkins at Poplar & Highland. I have also heard good things about Kyoto in Olive Branch.

Sekisui is overpriced for what you get, IMO.

Sadly, Sogo in Horn Lake has closed forever and disappeared.

I second the Edo suggestion. Good sushi at reasonable prices.

    2. I like Osaka out in Cordova but it has been a couple of months since I have been there.

      1. Sakura in Germantown had the best nigiri I've had. Only had lunch there though. Still love the rolls at Sekisui personally.

I've eaten at Sakura several times since my original post. Everything has been great. Still want to experience more places, but this one's a keeper.
