Rice, Veridian, Mar de Plata, or 15 Ria for lunch - Help me decide

My coworkers and I are taking another colleague out to welcome her back from maternity leave and this is our shortlist:
Mar de Plata
I've been to Mar and liked it plenty. I've heard good and bad about the others, so want to get the Board's thoughts on how the places are lately.
Rice has great ambience, and the idea of homemade green curry (rather than paste from a can) is terrific, but it lacks oomph. Something is missing, keeping it from tasting...full.
Mar de Plata has great appetizers, especially the grilled calamari. But watch out, they can get pricey. They also have the best tasting mojitos in town, but you may not wish to get loaded at lunch.
I can't remember what I ate at Viridian, but I remember enjoying myself there. It's the best setting of the four.
