Fried chicken in NoVA - Arlington preferred

  • 3

I was looking to have some good fried chicken tomorrow for lunch. Flavors doesn't open until two, but I can't go then. Is there an alternative anywhere that's at least as good? I'm not looking for any pollo a la brasa places ala Pollo Campero, etc; just some good, down home fried chicken.

Thanks for any suggestions!

  1. Southside 815 in Old Town is supposed to have decent fried chicken.

There's also Blue and White Carryout in north Old Town, but I don't know if it's open on Saturdays.

    1. I don't know the answer to your question, but Pollo Campero isn't rotisserie - it is fried. I'm not a fan - they come in behind Popeye's for me, but it is the best chain fried chicken when cold. Buy it - put it in the fridge, then eat.

      1. Oh actually I did remember one other place - Bob and Edith's. It used to be better, and despite some ranklings on this board towards them, the place still has a fond spot in my gullet. I would recommend getting other things there, but if you're in a spot, it is worth a visit.
