I live on the westide and am looking for a thai market with a big selection (comparable to the markets in hollywood). The asian market at National/Motor doesn't have a great selection.

Does anyone know of a big thai market on the westside (or is there a reputable market online that could supply canned/dry goods)?

thanks!

  1. What ingredients are you looking for exactly?

I'd recommend Marina Farms in the Playa Vista area for some ingredients. They have a great selection of ethnic ingredients of all types. Lots of produce too, but you have to check the freshness, they carry too many items that don't sell quickly.

Here in the South Bay, I'd recommend the Saigon Market on Hawthorne Blvd. near Marine Ave. They have an amazing selection of fresh produce from all over Asia as well as canned goods, bottles of every Asian condiment I've heard of and a fresh meat and fish counter. I use them for all Asian foods, but not for Indian, for which they are sorely lacking.

    Good luck.
