Exquisite Evenings at Epcot F & W Festival
One little tip. Insiders book everything in sight as soon as it becomes available. I beleve at either 14 or 21 days out they actually have to pay for it.
So if there are events you are eyeing, check availabil;ity by phone -- there's a special F&W 800 number -- at 3 and 2 weeks out, right after midnight, and you can sometimes pick up the cancellations that they invariably dump before they have to pay for them.
Also, Party of the Senses is usually very available or comes available each week. Good all around experience.
Two or three years ago I was very impressed with a vertical tasting I attended. Last year I did not do the vertical but tried some other things. The festival is almost getting too large with too many new wine drinkers. This is, of course, the point, I realize...to attract more people to fine wine and better food, but it also seemed a little less interesting. If you haven't done a lot of these sorts of things I would try one or two. Party for the Senses seems to be a good place to start and perhaps one of the wine dinners. For some of the dinners, you could already be too late. I haven't looked this year. LMF
I've been to any number of them, from the Palette of the Senses to wine verticals to chef's dinners.
Some are worth it, some are not. It depends to a degree on what floats your boat.
Tell us more about the event you are considering and why you are attracted to you.
Also, the availability of these events is like a stock market price, here today and gone tomorrow. If you aren't sure, book it. You have a cancellation period prior to actually paying for it and it may already be gone bye-bye.
