There used to be a small place close to Quincy Center on Chestnut St but the last couple of times I passed by the place, it appeared closed.

It was a toro toro called Shuttle Stop. The food was wretched and it did close. The next closest place is in Connecticut and from the looks of the menu it is more of a pan-asiany place with some filipino dishes thrown in. My advice is to either: 1) Pick up ingredients from the ever increasing filipino selection at KMF or the Dorchester 88 and cook yourself, or 2) Call ahead to Ihawan or Crystals in Woodside, NY then make the 3.5 hour drive there with a hefty cooler in tow. When oh when will a good filipino restaurant open here?!? It would do brilliantly if located in Chinatown or the like.
