New Bakery in Salem
For folks in the Salem area--wanted to spread the word about a good new bakery in Salem, A & J King Artisan Bakers.
They're on Central St, in the bottom of the Derby Lofts building.
Good baguettes,with a nice crust and a crumb that manages to be airy without being cottony.
Nice olive bread--a sourdough base studded with plump kalamata olives.
Brioche to die for--tender crumb, delecate butter flavor, not too eggy or too greasy.
They have cinnamon rolls and biscotti and coffeecake, too, but I have't tried any of those.
They're open every day but Mon.
