Strawberry Frozen Custard @ Woody's in Mill Valley
- Melanie Wong Aug 16, 2006 06:31 PM
On Monday I had a chance to stop by Woody's Yogurt Place while passing through Mill Valley. In addition to vanilla flavor, it now has strawberry frozen custard as well. I tried both flavors. Finding the vanilla slightly bitter with a woody aftertaste, I went for a small size strawberry frozen custard. Even though I do love the silky texture of frozen custard, the artificial strawberry flavor became too cloying after a few more bites. Still no sightings of chocolate frozen custard yet in the Bay Area.

Melanie, thanks for the report. The picture looks good to me, I'll have to try it one day.
I found chocolate frozen custard at Caliches Frozen Custard in Fresno. My post here: http://www.chowhound.com/topics/show/...
Also, my friend went to California Chill Frozen Custard in Elk Grove last weekend and got a chocolate frozen custard in a cone.
re: Melanie Wong
That's so funny, I read your original post and was about to say Main Street Burger has choc frozen custard. At least it did 2 weeks ago, when we were there last. I'm sorry I didn't have it (I had the Wow Cow sugar free instead) so I don't know if it's good. We go to MSBurgers pretty regularly for burgers. My past burger report:
Let me introduce myself. My name is Brian Woodson. My father owns Woody's Yougurt Place. I did a GOOGLE search on our business and discovered this thread. I realize that it is from last year, but in case you are still on and still check this, I thought that I would let you know that we do offer Chocolate Frozen Custard. We rotate all of our flavors in ice cream and frozen yougurt. We base our decisions about which flavor to carry in part on customer requests. So, if you want Chocolate Frozen Custard, just ask. If we get enough requests, we will do our best to get it in stock. Be aware that every flavor has its fans so we try to make everyone happy. But, we will certainly see about getting it back in stock ASAP.
