Nuevo Vallarta

I will be going to Nuevo Vallart in September. I want to go to authentic Mexican restaurants. Any suggestions?

    In the downtown area or Centro, Barcelona Tapas and Trio. On the south side or Zona Romantico- Mariscos Polo for seafood, Brazil Steakhouse is all you can eat at a set price and very good if you like meat. I think there may be another Brazil in Neuvo Vallarta. La Palapa is on the beach, so I would go at about 8pm for the sunset. Vista Grill, outstanding food and view from the mountain. River Cafe on the Isle Cuale is also very beautiful and has good food. Lots of great looking places that are better to just have a drink but not eat. Bring very lightweight clothing and maybe an umbrella...

      I live in Puerto Vallarta, south of Neuvo Vallarta. Most of the restaurants you would find to be authentic Mexican will be in P.V. not Neuvo. Neuvo was all built within the last 15 or so years and there really isnt much real Mexican culture there.
