Thanksgiving Dinner north of city

My parents are going to be visiting me in Evanston for Thanksgiving but I have no idea what would be a good place to take them for classic turkey-and-mashed-potatoes dinner that would be open on Thursday itself. They'll be staying in Northbrook and we'll have a car; anything within a half hour or so drive of there is doable.

Thanks a lot :)

Try Ray Radigan's on Sheridan Road in Pleasant Praire, Wisconsin - just south of Kenosha. We were there Sunday for dinner, I had the carved turkey with all the trimming ( $ 13.95 )- FABULOUS! Just like home. My wife had a scallop brochette which was also excellant. Service was great, soup not too good, salad ordinary, prices not bad for Sunday dinner. I will definately go back. Alewek

You may want to inquire of the Deerpath Inn in Lake Forest. I don't know what they do for Thanksgiving, but would suspect their dining room will be open and that they serve a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. The atmosphere is cozy and would be a nice place for a family dinner away from home.
