Where do you go to rejuvenate your taste buds?

Lately, I'm feeling burned-out by the restaurants I frequent. From the high end to the low end, nothing strikes me as mouth-watering or elicits a hearty growl of desire from my stomach. It could be I need to try new things, or I just need to mix it up. Where do you go when your taste buds need to rejuvenate?

I eat at home, after going to a farmers' market for inspiration.

      Ditto that sentiment.

I usually stay home and go basic and simple.

      White rice and fried egg.

      Cold noodles with sesame paste.

Noodles in chicken broth with tofu.

      PB&J

      Toast with good jam.

      etc.

Depending on what part of LA you are in, but frequently I head for the 626 area code and find either a Sichuan or Hunan restaurant and that really awakens all kinds of tastebuds, and then of course numbs them for the next two days, but in a good way.

I think Sushi Zo rejuvenated my taste buds. Their omakase was full of flavors that refreshed the palette. The yuzu juice at the end adds a nice touch.

I also think the fig, tomato and cheese sandwich at Surfas mixes it up a bit for a nice lunch.
