Celebrating Mom's 80th in Rancho Cordova

Can you please provide the names of some nice restaurants for the big day? We'll have about 12 people, and want a private room. Can travel around Rancho, but would prefer to stay out of downtown Sacramento.

Is there a reason you won't drive out of Rancho Cordova?

Sheepherder Inn...good prime rib, 635-6886. Garbeau's Dinner Theater, 985-6361, Cattleman's...985-3030, Rudy's Hideaway (we had fun there..good food), 651-0606. I don't know what kind of food you like...so hard to advise really. Garbeau's would be a nice evening..if you liked the entertainment.

Slocum House is always a great place to eat.

Sheepherder's has been undergoing extensive renovations and is expected to be open around Christmas time 2006.

Well, you can tell how long it's been since I've been there! Thanks.

Sheepherder's gone and good riddence too. I think Slocum is getting mixed reviews these days, but it may be good for a b'day celebration. We like Samaurai Sushi on Folsom and Hazel, near Rudy's Hideaway.

Although the restaurant I want to recommend, Slocum House, is in Fair Oaks, CA, Fair Oaks is on the northern border of Rancho Cordova. Slocum House is, definitely, a special place for a celebration.
