So what's up with NoMI??

I haven't seen much posted about this place. I am a bargain hunter when it comes to city dining (love prix fixe meals) and I understand that they do a 3-course prix fixe before 6 or 6:30 pm. Anyone eaten here? Is it worth the price of admission? From the description, it sounds like they may have stunning views.

I've done dinner there a couple times. Good service, good enough food, but the thing that stood out the most was the coffee I had after dinner...best coffee ever! I've been to the bar area many times for (great) drinks and appetizers. To me it's more of a cocktail place; depending on the cost of the prix fixe it may be worth it for dinner, but if you just want the view of Michigan Ave you can get that in the bar too. Btw, it's a nice view, but not sure I'd call it stunning...it's only on the 7th(?) floor.

I have eaten at NoMI once, last summer I think. We didn't do the prix fixe-thing (I didn't realize they offered it). The food was good, not great. The bar and lounge area are stylish, classy rooms. And the outdoor terrace is Spectacular. I live in Printers Row and am used to a city view; the view from NoMI is worth at least one visit, likewise for the food.
