Good Place For Pibil In San Diego [Split from taco thread on General Topics]

We got a good place for pibil in San Diego too - http://www.mamatestataqueria.com . The owner blends his own spices and marinates the pork wrapped in banana leaves for a couple of days. He tried to convince his landlord to let him dig a pit in the kitchen floor to make a cooking pit, but the landlord wouldn't buy into the request. Nor the S.D. Dept. of Health :-D.

Yeah, it's good. I had pibil at Super Cocina a couple of weeks ago, though. All due respect to Cesar, but that was to die for.

Cochinita Pibil has not been a choice when I've been to Super Cocina, I bet it is good. It's not exactly a menu choice you see frequently around here.
