Decent Pastrami in the South Bay?

Is there any place between Palo Alto and Santa Clara/Cupertino where I can find a passable pastrami sandwich? Togo's and Max's Opera Cafe went downhill a number of years back. I know I can't expect anything remotely as great as Langer's, Katz's or Carnegie Deli but I've never been to any of those famed establishments so a reasonable imitation will probably do, if there is such a thing in the area.

Costco has Carnegie pastrami in 3-lb packages. It's a good deal and tastes great.

As far as deli sandwiches, I like the sandwich shop in Saratoga, back-side of the Quito Shopping Center, across from the Prolific Oven. It's not the grocer, Gene's Fine Foods. A Parentitis Flare-up is preventing me from remembering the name of the place, though.

Try Dittmer's on San Antonio between El Camino and California Street.

I frequent Dittmer's, but I'm actually looking for a hot sandwich. Thanks, though.

Agreed. Dittmer's is great for sausages. Their pastrami is no different from all other boring pastramis.
