  1. Hi-

Please note, Chowhound is about food and drink, lodging discussion would be off topic.

    Thanks.

    1. Zoni51 - I just responded on your original post, so maybe you should take a look in the Not About Food board quickly. (I don't know if they'll yank my reply or just move it here.)

      1. I have been to Food & Wine several times. What a scene! The major hanging-out opportunities are at private parties, to which I haven't been invited and haven't crashed. The major hang-out spots for those of us who aren't on the A-list (or even B- or C-lists) tend to be downtown, near the Food & Wine tents. These would include the Little Nell, the Tavern (formerly called the Ajax Tavern), the Wine Spot in the Grand Hyatt Aspen, the J-Bar at the Jerome and assorted other watering holes and restaurants. The Classic provides abundant opportunities for tasting wines and other beverages, but food is more along the nibbling line, so you'll have to plan on grabbing a real meal here and there. I would suggest that you grab your ticket(s) as soon as they go on sale, because the event always sells out -- and this year is the 25th anniversary. Bon appetit!
