Wanted to pass on an email I got today from Solano Cellars in Berkeley (on Solano ave near cross street peralta) They are having a special "Julia Child" menu week. Seems like a terrific deal with or without the wine pairings. I am in no way affiliated with this place other than frequenting on occasion. For those who haven't been-it's very casual- mainly a wine store with a step-up wine bar area. Most of the seating is around the bar itself. There are scattered 2-tops and rounds. and one table that can fit larger parties.

Mmm, this sounds good. I can attest that Solano Cellars makes a great Gougere. Wish I was in town to try this menu...
