Foodie "MacBeth" on BBCA

This week’s play on BBCA’s ShakespeaRe-Told is “MacBeth”, played out in the restaurant kitchen of a 3-star British chef, Duncan Docherty, whose sous-chef, Joe MacBeth, is driven to murder by jealousy and his wife, the restaurant hostess, Ella. There are lots of food activities, including the butchering of a pig’s head, and kitchen in-jokes, e.g. Malcolm, saying “How Gordon Ramsey!” to which the entire kitchen falls silent. Then another chef says, “We don’t say that name around here. We just say “the Scottish Chef” (pun!!!). Definitely worth a watch.
