Columbia, Mo. lunch suggestion, please.

Hi. I will be having lunch in Columbia this week, with two vegetarian diners in their late 20s, and a carnivorous curmudgeon, who is in his late 70s and enjoys good food in a nice setting. I don't think he would be open to Indian/Asian cuisine. Is there any hope for us?
Thank you for your thoughts.
Mike

Just to clarify a bit that I would call Main Squeeze more of a health food restaurant than exactly continental American and as such may not exactly appeal to the curmudgeon. Not sure if that's only a distinction in my mind. From what you write I think that Sycamore is a better choice.

Thank you for the replies, Velma and reenum. I think we will try Sycamore.

I was in Columbia last week, and we ate at a great vegetarian place called 'The Main Squeeze'. The food is mainly continental American cuisine and a few Latin dishes. It sounds like exactly what you're looking for.

We have two nice restaurants downtown that I'm sure offer at least one vegetarian entree at lunch but you might want to call ahead to be sure. They are both on Broadway downtown. Here is the link for Sycamore:

The other restaurant is called Tellers but I can't find a menu for that one.
