Susan's Fish and Chips-Portland, Maine

What does everyone think of this place? I have heard rave reviews from friends, but I have never been.

I go to the gem & mineral show held once a year just down the street from Susan's. Every year a group of the vendors eat out Saturday night at Susan's -- I guess it's a tradition of sorts at this point. Everything the previous post said about the atmosphere is true, but for a group it's a good place, and every bit of fried food (what they serve) I've had there has been excellent.

Wow--hard to describe..... Very dumpy. Very limited parking. Not that clean.... But, good food. Lobster roll is also very good,and prices are low if you can stand to sit on picnic tables inside. Servings are adequate, but very warm inside on a warm day. The parking is extreemely tight.....
I much prefer BECKY's on commercial Street. Servings are bigger, food is tastier, prices are about the same or less, and you don't have to sit on a picnic table inside. Irwin

Susan's has the best seafood by far! Becky's is HIGHLY over-rated.
