Chicago eats
I was in too much of a hurry to really look, so I did a 3 hour food tour: Garrett's (Great), Al's #1 Beef (some weird spice in it that doesn't agree w/me) Portillo's red hots (to my surprise really good--hey! I'm a New Yorker), Billy Goat Tavern (get dah doble cheezboorger, the place is more sleazy fun atmosphere than any real great food). Didn't have time for Frontera or Superdawg, or Edwardo's pizza or any investigations beyond all the hyped. In the end, I'll stick with Garrett's Chicago Mix Popcorn.
If Garrett's popcorn was the best food you had in Chicago, Pete, you didn't do too well. Either that or you really like popcorn.

Hey, I only had three hours and I spent at least 45 minutes looking for the transit card machine in Union Station (and trying to figure it out). I did like Garrett's alot, and no I don't usually care for popcorn. I'm hoping to go back soon and spend more time chowing.

They say Superdawg is the Rolls Royce of Hot Dogs. It fun to go but just remember its only a hot dog.
