Best Fettuccine Alfredo

Have a craving for fettuccine alfredo. So I don't waste all the calories on a sub-standard dish, where can I find a really yummy version?

Preferably in Santa Monica, Venice or Marina del Rey.

  1. I know this isn't in the area you specified but I wanted to share that I was very suprised by the Fettucine Alfredo I ate at the Rainbow Room on Sunset.

    1. I'll take a lot of heat for the place generally, but at Peppone in Brentwood you'll get a fantastic Alfredo - to my taste ask for extra nutmeg. The rest of the menu, with a few exceptions, is way overpriced for the value. I never thought I'd recommend Georgio Baldi on East Channel in Santa Monica for anything because of uniformly worse than bad visits, but this is an Alfredo thread. Check out one of my posts about 3 years ago for the negative about this place, but his Alfredo not on the menu for $10 was the hit of a $450 check. I'd avoid the restaurant and its staff but get the Alfredo.

Let's not forget the most expensive(very good also) Alfredo (covered in White truffles) at Valentino's. 60- to 100-

Let's not. We were there last weekend for the Anniversary and had Alfredo with, at Piero's suggestion, summer black truffles. Exquisite. $95. But not nearly as good as the white truffles.

      2. I had a nice Alfredo at...believe it or not...Two Guys From Italy on Verdugo in Glendale.

Also good was the bread with bruschetta topping that comes with every meal. Fresh tomatoes and basil in a light vinagrette to put on your bread. The salad wasn't as great, though.
