Brisas del Caribe - Broome & B'way

2slices Aug 12, 2006 01:30 AM

Went today after a 1 year hiatus. Had Roast Pork, Yellow Rice Black Beans and Sweet plantains. All were excewllent and the portion was really huge. Am wondering if anyone's got any other reccs there. At $13.50 it was more expensive than Margon but it was alot nicer inside, had table service and the food (well the roast pork at least) in my whiteboy opinion was better. Also got 2 big pieces of skin when I asked for it. Yum. How's the mofogno there?

It had been a long time since I had been since I didn't remember the Cubano's being so great last summer but the food I had today was tops. What else what else to order?

Other nerighborhood PR spots I been to but IMO not as good:
Darlene's on Church
La Cocina on Houston
La Concita on Lafayette
Newer Deli place on Bowery around 3rd
