We just moved to Denver from NYC, and I would like to take my wife out to a special dinner for our anniversary as well as to celebrate the move. I would appreciate any suggestions along the lines of New American or Italian. Something special and unique. Thanks!

Of those listed thus far... Barolo & Luca d'Italia are fantastic choices. Other good recommendations...

    Chianti (huge wine list)

    my personal favorite...
Vesta Dipping Grill, totally unique experience and the best food in town

      Welcome to Denver!
A couple of suggestions in Denver (all downtown or central denver area):
For a combination of ambience and food my top 2 choices would be:

Mizuna - kind of New American/Mediterranean

Barolo Grill - Italian (not sure if they have a web site?)303-393-1040

And maybe Kevin Taylor (just have not been in a while
      )http://www.restaurantkevintaylor.com/

A few other ideas- (great food- just maybe not as fancy/romantic as you might be looking for

      )

      Luca D'Italia
      http://www.lucadenver.com/

      Cafe Star - new American-

      Rojia more Mediterranean

Duo - more american - cool space, more casual

Campo - Italian, pretty noisy, in Cherry Creek North. http://www.campodefiori.net/

      Good luck!
