Krispy Kreme locked their doors in Arizona with no explanation today. Too bad, enjoyed them often.

Is that ALL KK, or a specific location?

According to the local news this morning all the phoenix locations and they mentioned at least one tucson location.

Apparently they also didn't make payroll today...which stinks for the employees....

The franchisee went bankrupt. Krispy Kreme is looking for a new franchisee to take over all of the now closed Arizona and New Mexico stores. Until then, it's going to be an awful long drive for anyone in AZ or NM who gets a craving for a Krispy Kreme donut.

A lot of the MAssachusetts ones closed, too. Never did try them!

Several of them closed last year in the Houston area. I have not missed them. We have a much better chain institution called Southern Maid whose donuts are much tastier in my opinion.

Though, it used to be nice after a few drinks in the wee hours of the morning to drive by and see the hot donuts sign on and drive through for a few. They had that niche covered for sure!

Ohhhh, mmmmmmmmm, Southern Maid! I love them so much and miss them terribly. I'm originally from Shreveport, and their an institution there. Elvis was a huge Southern Maid fan bac when he was regularly on the Louisiana Hayride show based in Shreveport. The ONLY commercial that Elvis ever did was for Southern Maid. Man, I miss those donuts!

I live in Sacramento and not too far from the first KK that opened in Sacramento, cars were lined up for a mile waiting to get into their parking lot, it seemed like we lived with a traffic jam 7 days a week (ansd it was during the holidays!). Over time business really slowed down and it is now closed. Ironically, there is a mom pop donut shop located next door to KK. The media interviewed the couple and asked them if they thought they could stand up to the competition of KK. Long story short, the mom pop shop is still there and KK is gone.
