SUGGESTIONS FOR SPOILED WESTSIDER -FIRST DATE DINNER IN THE VALLEY

I would appreciate dinner suggestions for preferably great French Bistro or anything with fabulous food and good atmospher for a first date in the valley.

pinot bistro on ventura or bistro provence in burbank (former chef from pinot).

Or Bistro Garden, across Ventura from Pinot Bistro (corner of Van Noord, one block west of Coldwater Canyon). Also, French 75 in Burbank, Le Petit Chateau and Barsac Brasserie (haven't been to the latter), both on Lankershim in Studio City.

If you're looking in the West Valley, get a table after sunset at Piacere in Woodland Hills. The food's pretty decent (Italian, obviously), but their patio is a triumph.

Max or Mistral on Ventura Blvd., diagonally across from each other at the corner of Dixie Canyon. Both do the job better than Bizou ever would dream of, for date purposes especially.
www.maxrestaurant.com does the job for the first, while the latter has no website that I am aware of.
Food at Max is terrific.

Cafe Bizou in Sherman Oaks is nice. Very reasonable prices.
