White Tiger at Screaming Mimi's

A bit late for Ice Cream Month but stopped at Screaming Mimi's in Sebastopol this week. The White Tiger ice cream is like the fruitcake of ice cream, in a GOOD way. Grand Marnier, thick ripple of chocolatey fudge, and candied orange peel. I knew I couldn't eat a lot of it so had it paired with a scoop of chewy coffee. With the crumbly cookie it was the most grown-up ice cream I've ever eaten.

  1. Heck, with the warmest part of the year yet to come, it's never too late for ice cream.

Was the White Tiger strong with Grand Marnier, or just lightly flavored?

No, it's never too late for ice cream. The Grand Marnier was neither subtle nor overpowering, but combined with the orange peel packs a strong orange punch, that's why I cut it with coffee. Next time chocolate sorbet?

    2. That sounds like a great flavor! I like Screamin Mimi's, but find I have to try a lot of things first before finding a flavor I want to buy. Sounds like a winner.
