Gramercy Tavern private dining question

I will be hosting a dinner soon and have narrowed my choices to 2 places: Gramercy Tavern and the Tasting Room. If it were up to me I would choose the Tasting Room but there is a good portion of our group that I need to please, and unfortunately, they are the type of people that thrive on name recognition. If we are a group of 22 people we can fit in the private room at Gramercy. They have told me that 22 is their limit. Is 22 too many for the Gramercy room to sit comfortably or will it be too tight? Thanks in advance for you help and responses!

  1. I've done private functions at Gramercy twice. It's a beautiful room, and although I don't remember the precise capacity, I'd be surprised if there would be a problem. If they can get 22 chairs around the big table, you'll be fine.

    1. I held a party in the the private room at GT last year, they did a wonderful job. We had about 15-18 people with space to spare, I imagine you will be comfortable as 22.
