Hearth Tonight (Summer Menu Recs)

Anyone have any recommendations for my dinner at Hearth tonight? Haven't tried the summer menu yet...

A couple of weeks ago, I really enjoyed the vitello tonnato appetizer (flat-pounded veal cutlet with a sauce made from tuna and capers -- total Italian summer classic) and the pappardelle with tomato and shrimp. both simple and delicious, and the tomatos were very fresh and sweet. $26 is a fair amount for a bowl of pasta, but it's a pretty big portion and the flavors were just right.

    Oh, and the hen-of-the-woods mushrooms are unbelievable. UNBELIEVABLE.

    1. Haven't had the pappardelle with tomato and shrimp, but I remember being very disappointed by the rabbit pappardelle with fava beans.

      I am a huge fan of the chocolate tart with a semolina crust and peanut brittle ice cream--absolutely delicious.

      1. I really enjoyed the peekytoe crab salad. I also had the veal cheeks, which I found one of those laughably small restaurant portions. The veal was very good, but I thought the sweet bread that came with it was lackluster.

          ooh good call, the peekytoe crab salad IS good. I remember liking that one too.
