Super H Mart in Williston Park

I dropped by this Asian-esque market last night after not having visited for a few months, and I was not impressed. Much of the store had a bad smell, and there was a pervading sense of disarray. Blackberries were all moldy, as were some of the mission figs--the ones that weren't crusty with age. In the past I've been disappointed with the fish department here, and last night the fillets looked old and tired, as did much of the whole fish.

Anyone else been here lately?

  1. I stopped going about two months ago for the same reasons.

I bought fish a few times recently that when I got it home and unwrapped it, it smelled of bleach, which the fishmongers use to disguise the smell of bad fish.

Too bad too, b/c the prices were great!

    1. The produce and meats have definitely gone downhill. I only go for the kimchee, and even that is not as good as Han Yang's in Flushing.
