Pastry Marble

I was wondering if there was a place in Boston or surrounding areas that sold pastry marble for rolling out pie crusts and other pastry dough. Thanks!!!!

Williams Sonoma sells one for a whole lot of money. I'd go to a high-end countertop place-- Just look in the phone book

Try China Fair Mass Ave in Cambridge

Sur La Table seems to have it.

There's a marble cutter in Union Square in Somerville. My guess is that you could get a larger, cheaper piece of marble there than you might be able to get from a kitchen supply store. If you asked the right person, you might be able to get one for free, as I did. They have PILES of scrap marble from broken countertops, etc that are just massing in their yard. Perfect for pastry marbles.

Can you provide more info on how to find this marble cutter? Is there a storefront?

oooh, sorry. I hadn't checked this site in awhile. There is no storefront, I'm afraid. It is located just outside of Union Square in Somerville at the corner of Webster and Prospect. Good luck in your search.

I would call Kitchen Arts on Newbury Street, they might have it or be able to tell you where to get one.

Yes I already tried them. Thanks. They didn't have them and the places they suggested (C&B, WS, BB&B), I had already tried, to no avail.
