MLB Package, beer & decent bar appetizers please

I'm getting tired of watching the Mets on mlbtv on my laptop and want to branch out from Orleans.

Where else in the city has the MLB ticket? I would go to Game On this weekend, but the Sox are in town. Champions is out because their food is so awful. Any other ideas?

Thanks!

Ok, I have the place for you.

The Avenue in Allston, near the intersection of Harvard and Comm.

Yes, it's a pretty crappy bar most things considered, BUT:

1)they have the MLB package, and one of the managers is a Mets fan so the Mets are always on.

2)Most of the food is mediocre, but they have decent wings that are cheap.

3)Pints of selected domestic drafts are.....$1, ALL DAY EVERY DAY. I think that includes bud, bud light, michelob, michelob ultra, and amber bock.

on .20 wing days, you can drink and eat for hours and hours and have a $15 check.

I love that frickin place. go now!!!!!!!!1

Not sure if they have the MLB package (every bar here will be dominate by the Sox when they play anyhow) but you might want to try The Stadium in Southie. I think it has the best sports bar food in town. And 1/2 priced apps before 7 so grab a space at the bar and get in your first order just before gametime.

On occasion, I have had passable food at the Sports Depot as well. Not healthy mind you, but good for beers and bar food. Actually the pizza insn't half bad.

Sports Depot will most likely put the Met game on for you...I asked and got one (and only one) TV for the college hockey playoffs during the college basketball playoffs. :)

Powederhouse Pub has the MLB package but it's another townie-type place that would have Sox on first.

Post back if you find anything...this is the age-old question.

Orleans has both the NFL Sunday Ticket & the MLB Package and will put on whatever you want to watch on one of their 5 or so TVs. We regularly watch Giants and Mets games there. But I want to try something new. We've called The Stadium and they have the package so I'm going to try that one first. I'll report back:).

Not sure about the MLB package but I would try the baseball tavern or the fours down by the fleetcenter.
