Which of these places would you choose for a great Cape Cod meal?

  • 7

If you had to choose two of these restaurants for great food with a nice atmosphere, which would you pick? My DH and I will be going with one other couple. We're staying in Brewster.

28 Atlantic
Ocean House
Cape Sea Grille
Red Pheasant

I eliminated Restaurant 902 Main, because I think it's a bit far, but if people think it's worth the drive, let me know. Also, we will likely go to Brewster Fish House another night with our son.

Thanks! Debra

  1. Red Pheasant hands down

    1. Thanks TG.

Almost forgot about Pisces. Any good?

We went to Pisces a couple of years ago and really liked it. I've never been to the others.

      2. I remember having a very good experience at the Captain Linnell House in Orleans a few years ago. Maybe somebody can tell you if they're as good as they used to be.

        1. I absolutely love Red Pheasant. Ocean House and Cape Sea Grille are also quite nice, but Red Pheasant the most memorable.

The "Pheas" is a nice choice but 28 Atlantic is BY FAR, the best restaurant on the Cape...perhaps in the whole state.

          2. Have never been to the Red Pheasant, but I can tell you that the other places are not in the league of Atlantic 28. If you want a sure thing go there--it has the food, atmosphere and service. If the weather is nice, you also might want to go down by the pool and have a drink at the Outerbar and/or hang by the new glass fire pit. One other tip, my wife often times has two apps instead of app + dinner. Their apps are great. Pisces is wonderful but a small room-Different experience. Cape Sea grill is kind of the same as are a good place in Harwich called The Port and Nauset Grill in Orleans. Lastly, Impudent Oyster in Chatham has great food. Do not recommend in the summer-too crowded, but a great fall spot.
