Special Occasion Suggestions Needed but with a problem

we are 2 couples wanting to celebrate a birthday/anniversary, we have a reservation at Eleven Madison Park for 9/3/52, but i just realized that one of us cannot eat a prix-fixe menu due to dietary restrictions. any other suggestions for a nice evening, nice atmosphere & excellent food. thanks.

They should respond well. I had to do the same thing at Bouley once, on New Years' Eve - short notice at that!

I agree you should call the restaurant first - most are happy to help out. ALternatively, Danube is lovely.

You might want to call the restaurant and see if your friend's dietary restrictions can be accommodated in the prix fixe menu. Though I've never had to deal with this issue, from what I've heard/read, many restaurants are very good at offering substitutions on omitting offending ingredients.
