My family and I are vacationing for 2 weeks. First week in Vancouver and Whistler, the second in Seattle. We love good food being from NYC and will walk anywhere to get it.

    In Seattle:

    Tamarind Tree or Green Leaf (International District) for excellent Vietnamese;
    Pho Bac (several locations) for steaming hot cheap and delicious pho;
    Szechuan Noodle Bowl (International District) - all noodles and dumplings housemade daily, all dishes around $5 or less - try the spicy vegetarian dumplings, the spicy beef tendon noodle soup, and the green onion pancake;
    Thai Tom (U District, and worth the trip) for Thai;
    Malay Satay Hut (International District);
    if you're willing to drive to Bellevue, Udupi Palace (Tamil/S. Indian) and Szechuan Chef are also worth the trip.

    If you have a car, also worth checking out are the Salvadorean Bakery (White Center), plus there's lots of great Korean food in Lynnwoood and Edmonds.

      Tamarind Tree, Tamarind Tree, Tamarind Tree
      And if you can brave the wilds of Issaquah, The Noodle Boat on Gilman is outstanding.

        Vancouver chow is discussed on the Western Canada board, please post a query on that board about portion of your trip.
