Tomatoes at farmer's markets in Fresno area?

Is it just me or do the tomatoes this year just seem kinda blah? I keep trying different tomatoes from different vendors in the valley, from different parts in the valley, but nothing seems to have that wow factor. Is it the crappy weather this year...freezing cold and rainy and then blazing hot? The tomatoes at the farmer's markets are better than supermarket tomatoes, which taste like nothing, but they lack that great tomato flavor of previous years. Or are my standards too high?
This time of year we are usually fortunate to get vine ripened ones from a friend and from my FIL. The hot weather totally fried both their crops. I've resorted to my back up lady at the farmer's mkt on Shaw & Blackstone, Sat. AMs (and Wed PMs, iirc). If you enter from the south in the middle, she is on your right immediately as you walk in. Very nice lady, seems to have them into Oct/Nov and as early as Feb/Mar, must have a hothouse.
