I want to know if anyone has had the chicken from the chicken truck form France with the rubber chicken on top and the chickens rotating on a rotisery. They are at some local festivals (last year's KFOG Kaboom), but I haven't seen them for about a year. Can anyone help me?

I believe they are at the Farmers Market at the Ferry Building on Saturdays. We were there this morning and saw the truck with the chicken on top with the rotating chickens and potatoes. (The potatoes are heavy on the rosemary though). This is probably the one you are looking for.

I've had the Roli Roti chicken. They are usually at the Grand Lake Farmer's Market on Saturdays, 10:00-2:00. I was not impressed. The poultry was waaaaay over seasoned--and believe me, I favor aggressively seasoned food, but this was overwhelming! Furthermore, at $10.00 per chicken, I'd rather go to Costco. But I agree with the other poster--maybe it's just me, because the lines are plenty long each Saturday.

you are not alone $10 for a sonoma select chicken and more for an organic chicken is quite pricey and not special imo.

I believe you're asking about Roli Roti (see link).

Had a sample at Ferry Plaza FM once, but never actually bought one -- guess that gives my opinion. But that is just my opinion -- if others didn't like it, it would be out of business.

There is a link to Finding the chicken on the website.

For all those who responded- thanks, but the trucks you all mentioned are not the French chicken truck. The one I went to was actually a truck imported from France, and much better than the Roto Roti truck at the farmer's markets.

My try #2.
Based on the link which is the map layout of the 2003 KaBoom!, it looks like you are talking about Foster Farms. (lower rt corner, #42). No indication what their set-up was, but maybe you can confirm based on your memory of the layout of the event.
