McCarren Park Pook - Saturday Night Concerts

  • 3

I have a friend coming into town for this Saturday's Yeah Yeah Yeah's show at McCarren Park Pool. Our sched is tight prior and we'll likely be hungry and thirsty. What's the situation during the paid clear-channel shows?

* Is there food available? What is it? I assume we can't import in our own food?
* What kind of drink is available? I read something about horrendous beer lines. I assume we can't import in our own drink?
* Is it standing room only there? Can a blanket be brought in to sit on away from the stage?

Thanks.

  1. We're going to that show as well. I think doors open at 5pm.

From what I've read I believe we'll be standing in the pool looking up at the stage so I think the blanket idea may be out. Someone definitely correct me if I'm wrong. I had read something on Curbed or Gothamist that alluded to this set-up.

As far as I know you can't bring food or drink into the venue.

If your pressed for time you might want to grab a quick bite before the show and go for dinner afterward.

Right now I'm thinking DuMont Burger!

    1. All the pool concerts are catered by Sparky's--hamburgers and hot dogs. Beer is provided by Brooklyn Brewery.

      1. Eat, drink and pee before entering venue. Reports of long lines have been widespread. http://www.gothamist.com/archives/200...
