Albany - Coming soon Saffron Gourmet

I've been keeping an eye on what was supposed to be a Kosher market. I guess that owner gave up and now there's a handwritten sign taped to the window that says ...

"Yummy foods from Persia, Italy, Lebanon, Israel, Monacco, Greece and Spain"

It is two blocks away from San Pablo, in the direction going away from the theatre.

1007 Solano Avenue

Hope they sell some decent Greek yogurt.

Trader Joe's has tasty fig Greek yogurt. Maybe tasty plain but I usually go for buttermilk.

Not sure. I'm just hoping they open. That Kosher market put the sign up last December and only removed it a month ago. I was surprised driving by to see stuff actually on the shelves and the new sign.

Yeah, I like TJ's greek yogurt. I'm hoping for something like Crossroads World Market in Mountain View where they scoop up locally made Greek Yogurt from big bowls into plastic take-out countainers.

The word 'yummy' on the sign has me concerned.
