What to do with preserved lemons?

I pick up a package of preserved lemons yesterday. There are 4 of them in a vacuum-sealed bag and are refrigerated. I have never used these before, so would love to know your suggestions/ideas for cooking with them. I would also appreciate storage advice, if I cut open the bag and use one, for example, how should I store the rest and how long will they keep? Thanks for any tips!

  1. How are they preserved?
Preserved lemon is common in moroccan cooking, either as an ingredient or a condiment to a tagine and couscous.

    1. There was a good thread on preserved lemons a couple months ago:

      1. Takes tuna salad to a new level,I put small slices in green salad AND blend them in the blender with vinaigrette dressing. Great with chicken. You can make your own really easily, google" Paula Wolfert preserved lemon recipe." I make them all the time, all you need is salt and lemons. Good to use organic lemons as there are tons of pesticides sprayed on citrus.
