Restaurant Near Holiday Inn/ Wharf?

I have some Aussie friends visiting SF next week who are staying at the Holiday Inn near Fisherman's Wharf. I'd appreciate any ideas on an interesting restaurant nearby? Price range up to $50/person, non-touristy, interesting food of any type, not too noisy. Thanks.

  1. Try Alioto's, which is near Pier 39 and there's also a great place called the Francsican, or something, on the wharf.

FYI, that Holiday Inn is the WORST one in the county to stay at (and I've stayed at 'em all). It's been a couple of years, but I'll never go back!

    1. gosh there are a lot of places within walking distance, depending on fitness. north beach, chinatown, marina, russian hill.

I like Henry Hunan's on Battery for smoked pork dishes, but it has been a bad call for visitors. not loud.

Fior D'Italia is now open at the San Remo Hotel.

Pier Market restaurant at Pier 39 is one of the better bets.

      Ana Mandera? vietnamese.

Heck maybe they would enjoy a Denny's experience.

I also like Bobo's on Lombard.
