Steamed Pork Patty @ West Lake Restaurant, Hayward

vliang Aug 4, 2006 09:31 PM

Tried their steamed pork with mei tsai(sp?) today for lunch off of their 3 dishes for $16.95 menu. It's my favourite version of their steamed pork patties so far. Their steamed pork with salted egg is better than Capital's IMHO. Also had their S&P shrimp for $2 off of their $2 menu that has a range of things from wonton soup to S&P items to greens. The shrimp were big with heads on. Nicely crispy outside and juicy inside. Good wisp of heat.
There's a ton on their menu all for good price points too.

We planned to try West Lake last night and it's boarded up & CLOSED. So sad.

Good news! West Lake is open again. There's a Grand Opening sign in the same location and it looks like a fresh coat of Orange paint outside. I didn't try it yet, but the parking lot was full.

That would be Steamed Pork Patty with water chestnuts, topped with pickled vegetables?
