eureka/arcata 3 days

withalonge Aug 4, 2006 08:50 PM

Hi All... my DH and I will be wandering around the eureka/arcata area for a few days at the end of the month. I haven't really haunted that area since the days I used to visit my sister when she attended humboldt state. and then we ate cheap (los bagels, don's donuts, hunan chinese on the square.. if you get my drift).

so I'm looking for a little bit, more adult (at least in the monetary sense) trip this time. Still have to make sure the wings & cajun shrimp are good the humboldt brewery.. and get my husband some downtown brown from the source at the lost coast. and we might hit the somoa cookhouse for old time's sake. BUT... we'd like to have a few nicer dinners as well. (any more than say $200 inclusive of tax & tip, for two makes my husband's head spin around)

Thanks in advance for suggestions.
:)

Megan, here's my report from last summer.

Also, if you do a search (Eureka - Arcata or Trinidad) there are quite a few more reports.

Happy chowing and do report back.

    Cheers,

    Dave
