winery picnic in southern Alexander or northern Dry Creek Valley

Hi, I did search, honest, but found mostly general info. I'm looking for a nice winery picnic area on the way from Hwy 128 in Napa Valley tthrough southern Alexander Valley, heading towards the north end of Dry Creek. I've got 14 people in tow, and it could get warm so shade is good. Good wine is appreciated too.

Usually I'd go to Passalacqua, but the small secluded tables that I find so appealling are not good for a large group like this.

I'm rather anxious because I'm supposed to be the local guide, and I don't feel all that expert.

I don't anything can beat Preston: fantastic wine,
picnic grounds with tables, bocce ball court,
wonderful entertaining people, fresh baked bread,
homegrown tomatoes...oh I could go on and on...

Maria, I like Preston too, but its website says "no groups larger than 6." Perhaps since it'll be on a Monday I can call them and beg.

Was a resident of Geyserville till recently.

Trentadue Winery is pretty nice....off the Independence Lane exit on 101.

Oh, sorry, I got turned around, was thinking Dry Creek was above Alexander Valley.

How about Lambert Bridge? Nice garden.

Thanks, Robert; I just need someplace farther north, like the Lambert Bridge or north of there, or in southern Alexander Valley. But I'll try Hop Kiln another time.

Hop Kiln has lovely picnic grounds and will reserve tables for groups.
