My sister and I are planning to have a light lunch tomarrow. What are the best sandwich places in and around Fremont? Sandwiches that are grilled/include cheese receive extra points.

Hands down, Huong Lan, 39055 Cedar Blvd (at Mowry), Newark. If you're only having sandwiches, you could get out for under $5.

I love Huong Lan, but it's Vietnamese sandwiches. They might have cheese but don't think so, and not grilled. I like bbq pork sandwich there or cold cuts.

a local chain sandwich shop is Erik's Deli: 4138 Walnut Avenue
Fremont, CA 94538 for American sandwiches, none grilled I don't think. website: http://www.eriksdelicafe.com/index.html
